The current car, which is a ute, that I drive for work is an older car that only has an AM radio, no money wasted on silly options like the FM band.
Anyway so on the masive 8-15min drive to and from work I get to listen to some AM gold and today they played a song!! Doesn’t happen often, and it surprised me, it was Ben Folds Five, which I thought would have only came out on CD so not sure how they were able to play it but good on them!!
This may come as no surprise to you guys who have listened to AM since before it was cool… but I didn’t know a) that they played songs, and b) that they’d play Ben Folds Five

Caleb’s (3 yrs old) favourite song at the moment is The Salmon Dance by The Chemical Brothers, whenever we hop in the car he always asks for the fish song to be put on.
I’m happy with this, much easier to listen to then play school songs or the like.
Him and his little brother really get into it too, pretty funny at times.
The youtubes won’t let me embed it, so here’s a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyHakCQN0Ss
Peace out.

I haven’t blogged for a bit cause I been away and there’s still part of me that wonders if it’s a good idea to tell the world (or the few people who may see these blogs) that I’m not home and the house is empty…
But anyway…
So yesterday I had a family from our church come in as they are looking at buying a car that will better fit their family and gear in. I spent a couple of hours test driving cars with them, hanging out and chatting, sometimes we spoke about the cars but most the time it was nice to chat about whatever and it be considered work.
I’ve noticed recently how nice it can be just to stand out in the sunshine chatting to people and it be considered doing your job.
Then today I had this other guy come in, never seen him before, he was half interested in a ute we had for sale and asked what his trade in would be worth. I had a chat to guys about it and they decided it was only worth about $1000, which is in the ballpark of what I was expecting.
So I went and told the guy this and he went nuts!! He said he should come inside and rip the guys head off that said it was only worth that. Then told me he’d been offered $7500 for it, which we don’t believe as it’s clearly not worth that and I nicely said that’s a crazy price, at which he went nuts again saying how crazy this place was etc…
He was very proficient in the use of four letter words too, but this is prime time so i can’t repeat them here…
By the way, this little incident didn’t get me down and make my day worse but in fact kind of made my day as I thought it was the hilarious!! I can’t believe he went nuts and started threatening us just because he thought his car was worth more than it was.
