Confused.
So I’m losing track of time a little bit. Every time I go into work my roster seems to have changed again, and I’m working a lot of nights. That means that I lose a lot of my days, and get fairly confused as to what day it is.
I’ve been spending hours at home by myself watching DVDs and wasting time, which is actually rather nice. I still feel a bit dazed most of the time though.
An example of this would be that I spent about 15 minutes last night giggling to myself about the phrase “meeee bunghole shine”, which I’m sure normal people wouldn’t do.
I’m working most of this weekend, so I’m trying to figure out what I want to do tonight – go out and be social, or stay home and be well rested?

So was it home-delivered or did you venture out?

We ended up going over to Tod’s place and cooking for them. It was nice.
I’ve worked all weekend on afternoon shifts, and am on again tonight and tomorrow night.
In theory I then have about 5 days off, so hopefully nothing changes that between now and then!
The roster for the next 8 weeks has come out, and at this stage I’m working the 11th-14th November. I do have the weekend of 7/8 November off, which I believe was when Chris was originally going to have his party…?

Now that’s just not fair is it! What a bummer…silly silly RSL people for not writing our booking into their diary for the 7th!!!! It’s such a shame that you aren’t in a position yet of switching shifts…this is life though I guess! Maybe we could get that big life size poster/statue thing of you from Hurstville and bring it up so that we feel like we have you with us…and you could even appear in photos!

The way my roster has been lately, I’ll probably turn up to work next week and it will have been changed again to say that I’m working 7/8th and not 14th.
We’ll just wait and see what they say.
On a positive, I think I’m going to be allowed to take a week or two off in January.
If so, it’ll be my first paid leave in about 6 or 7 years.

Hoorah for paid leave!
