I was a bit wasted last night after a big day at church running a Pupil Free Fun Day for Kindies to year 6 kids… BIG day! So when I got home I just crashed on the couch and zoned out in front of the TV. For whatever reason Fi and I ended up watching Sea Patrol.

Maybe I should say we endured watching Sea Patrol… I believe that Sea Patrol is Australia’s biggest budget TV show and it’s pure guff. The acting was terrible, the plot was ridiculous and the dialogue was at best cliche…

After watching The Wire from HBO it’s hard to call Sea Patrol “drama”… “spoof” would probably be a better genre.

Needless to say anymore, I was very unimpressed. Thank God it was finale.

    A few people I know absolutely love Sea Patrol.
    My opinion is much closer to yours.
    I watched about 8 episodes of season 3 since you gave it to me on Saturday. Awesome.

    I agree, it’s crap. I sometimes watch it when there’s nothing else on, but normally I find myself migrating to the computer when it’s on and clicking refresh on Facebook in the hope that someone has done something worth looking at.

    They run into SO much trouble all the time, it’s like when Lisa, not going to attempt her last name, was in Blue Heelers, that was only a small country town but had the highest crime rate in Australia!!

    I used to watch it due to lack of anything decent on TV on Tuesday nights. Due to this show, I have decided to never venture out onto open waters…only the nasty, evil & corrupt people go out there and I may get killed (that’s what it seems according to this quality show).

    I can’t believe you chose the finale to watch for the first time…it was a double episode I believe…2 hrs!!! Fun!!!

    Is there any good Aussie made drama?

    these days it’s very hard to find. In the old days there was police rescue oh man that was a cool show.
