Scones
Given Chris’ recent blog…
Let me introduce to you LEMONADE SCONES!!! Woohoo!
OK, brace yourself, this might be hard to remember…
- 3 Cups of SR flour
- 1 cup of thickened cream
- 1 cup of lemonade (shweppes, no frills, whatever…)
- Stir it all together in a big bowl (settle down, get off the speed, don’t over mix).
- roll the dough in a bit of flour (less sticky)
- Mould the dough into whatever shape you want your scones (triangle, round, etc…)
- Throw it in a preheated oven (205 degrees celsius) for about 15 minutes
- Eat scones with jam and cream.
Presto.

Lemonade scones are the best! Chris wanted to make these but alas we didn’t have lemonade nor cream…so traditonal scones he made!

Can I just say that late nights really are my most productive time… it wasn’t just uni… here I am cooking dinner/s at 10pm- featuring not only The Nutts scone recipe for tomorrow but their slow cooker for the beef in red wine and Brandy casserole too! This, dear friends, highlights the wonder and beauty of community!!
