I love it!! Sitting here at 12:55am waiting for Australia to walk in and I can’t wait for the sport to start!!

So the opening ceremony in good, and actually there was some really impressive stuff take place tonight, but I think the best thing about it is that it means very soon all the sport will start!!

I’m really excited to watch sports that I don’t watch all that often outside the Olympics.

I also have a video projector for the weekend and after setting it up to watch the opening ceremony it will stay set up all weekend to watch the sport!

I’m still amazed how the humble sandwich press is able to turn a seemingly meagre cheese & tomato sandwich into a full and tasty meal!

I make a sandwich. I put it in the press. light turns green. Cheese melts. Tomato is hot. Hey presto! It’s not a sandwich it’s dinner!

I saw this machine on an episode of Grand Designs last week. It’s bloody amazing! They use this machine in Finland to harvest forests for log cabins etc. It’s awesome! It fells, strips, and cuts to set log sizes in about 25 seconds.

What will they think of next…? Soon we’ll be eating sliced bread!
