The lads from Top Gear have done Toyota a massive marketing favour, by attempting to destroy an ‘unbreakable’ Hilux.

Whatever their motives, it worked on me, and my desire for one of these utes has skyrocketed. I love the idea of just slinging my stuff into the tray and driving off for a weekend on the coast or something. I’m sure it’s highly impractical, and I could come up with a dozen reasons with it’s ridiculous, but that’s what I’m like sometimes.

Do you think I could get away with trading in the Astra?
